This 2023 round of training is intended primarily for IECEE Assessors based in Europe but, in accordance with the rules, it is also available to assessors from other regions who may have missed the previous training provided for their region.
You are reminded that IECEE Assessors are expected to take part in this training every 3 years, as per IECEE 02-3 subclause 8.3. Failure to meet this obligation will lead to being withdrawn from the IECEE assessor pool. In 2020, due to Covid, there was however no assessor training, and the region cycle was shifted by one year, therefore a 4-year gap has been temporarily allowed.
The 2023 Assessor Training will be provided in 2 parts:
- Part 1: A self-study, online course focused on the basic knowledge of IECEE Rules and Operational Documents, will be made available online from 2023-07-01 to 2023-10-20. This self-study will include an online examination module that may be re-taken as many times as necessary within that time frame. The objective is to ensure the assessors’ knowledge of the rules.
Successful completion of the self-study program is a pre-requisite for admission to the onsite training (Part 2).
- Part 2: Will take place in Altensteig Wart, (Black Forest), Germany, on November 13th-15th (Monday to Wednesday), hosted by DEKRA. This training is strictly onsite, with no option to attend remotely. It is designed to share recent changes to the IECEE rules and procedures and best practices in IECEE peer assessment. This Part 2 will also be finalised by an exam, to be taken at the end of the last day of training, when still in Germany, and travel should be arranged accordingly. It will be essential participants bring a laptop computer in order to access the required final examination.
