Applicant submitting a CB Test Certificate can be either a foreign manufacturer or an agent/representative authorized to act on behalf of the manufacturer, irrespective of the country of residence.

 

The following documents should be submitted :

-Application form (available on request)
-CB Test Certificate
-CB Test Report
-Documentation (e.g. manuals, circuit diagram, photos, list of components, etc.)
-Others, if applicable

A product sample is always required when CB Test Certificate is presented for the certification.

The annex to the CB Test Certificate and CB Test Report covering Japanese national deviations, if any, is recognized.

Applications with CB certificates are handled with priority before testing assignments provided the need for re-testing is small.

Fees are required to be paid in advance and the list of fees is available upon request.

For JET PVm Certification a pre-license factory inspection is required and a follow-up factory inspection is carried out once a year in principle.

Appeal in writing against decision of the NCB shall be directed to JET.

JET PVm Certification Scheme is designed to conduct tests on each model of photovoltaic products as well as factory inspections, pre-license and follow-up, in order to ascertain the reliability and quality of PV products, to promote wide application and utilization of these products and to serve to end users.
