General Information:

LCIE is a Notified Body for the Low Voltage directive, Machinery Directive, Ex Directive (ATEX), Personal protective equipment Directive and a Competent and Notified Body for the EMC Directive. LCIE Laboratories are accredited to ISO 9000 and EN 45001.
The Certification Department is accredited to EN45011.

NF Mark

LCIE issues the NF mark, on behalf of AFNOR. The NF mark stands for product conformity with French, European and International Standards covering safety, quality, design purpose and performance.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO AN APPLICATION FOR NF MARK

Written information on our procedures and rules as well as application forms are available on request.

Applicant submitting a CB Test Certificate can be:

Foreign manufacturer directly
Foreign manufacturer via representative resident in the country
Commercial agent

The following documents should be submitted:

Application request including name and address
CB Test Certificate
CB Test Report (French or English)
Application form
Technical data questionnaire
LCIE contract duly signed
Instruction leaflet in French language
Electrical diagram
Photo(s) of the appliance(s)

We will let the applicant know if we require a specimen of the product when the Application is acknowledged.

We are prepared to recognize annex to the CB Test Certificate and Test Report covering our national deviations.

We deal with incoming CB applications as a matter of priority before testing assignments provided the need for re-testing is small.

List of application and testing fees are included in LCIE Contract. Annual fees are also included in the LCIE Contract.
Partial payment in advance + invoice.

Pre-license inspection is required.
Requirements according to: CCA 201.

Routine factory inspection by Certifying Body is required.
Requirements according to: CCA 201.

Samples for re-testing are selected during factory inspection.
Testing costs for such samples might be charged to the applicant, according to the test results.

The license is valid without time limit unless canceled earlier because of non-compliance, withdrawal of the Standard or on the applicant's request.
