The official Czech currency is Czech Crown – CZK, which is freely convertible.
Present exchange rate is approximately 1 EUR = 26 CZK, or 1 USD = 17 CZK
For up-to-date rate see www.penize.cz

We recommend money exchange in the airport, banks or exchange offices in the city. The exchange rates in hotels are usually worse than that in banks.

Some shops accept EURO, but check the shop exchange rate before you decide to use EURO for payment.

Most banks open from Monday to Friday 9:00 h to 17:00 h, and some open on the weekends. You can find ATMs that accept all international cards almost everywhere.

Internet access will be available in the meeting rooms.

Smoking
Czech Republic has a non-smoking policy in all public areas. Smoking is only permitted in specific designated areas.

Safety advice
Prague is a charming city full of historical monuments and sights. The CTL meeting will take place in the beginning of high tourist season, which attracts pickpockets to the city.
Prague is a safe city, but we recommend to follow these advices:

    • BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS.
    • DO NOT ACCEPT OFFERS FOR MONEY EXCHANGE ON THE STREET.
