KEMA Registered Quality Extends Worldwide Network
KEMA is an international, knowledge intensive organization, active in the fields of Electric Energy Systems, Environmental Technology and Management, Sustainable Energy and Information Technology. Moreover, KEMA's competence extends to areas of quality control in relation to product and management system certification. KEMA has 1400 employees and offices and laboratories in Europe, Asia and the Americas and the turnover in 1999 amounts to USD 135 Million.
KEMA Registered Quality is a worldwide group of service companies, serving the worlds manufacturers, trading companies, retailers and governments to facilitate trade and reduce the risk associated with transactions and use. To this end KEMA carries out testing, inspections and audits and certifies the achieved quality level of products, processes, management systems and personnel. KEMA is a European Notified Body for a wide range of European Directives and the IECEE-CB Scheme forms an important part of the one-stop services that we offer to our clients to provide them with the desired access to international markets.
KEMA is continuously expanding it's network around the world and recently opened a laboratory in Milan, Italy, KEMA Registered Quality Italia, in order to be able to serve Italian customers locally. The new laboratory will be headed as from June 1st, 2000- by Mr. Fabio Gargantini, well known in the certification business.
In November 1999 KEMA also entered into a strategic partnership with CSA International to provide an optimal package to manufacturers exporting to Europe and North America. Through CSA KEMA provides access to Canada based on IEC standards, to USA based on USA standards.
KEMA's core business is to help individuals, enterprises and organizations in preventing physical and non-physical risks during the use of products and/or services as result of lack of expertise, uncertainty or lack of knowledge as far as they are related to the quality of the production processes.
